That’s right!
There is no mess and just in case you wondered how we do that, here’s the steps we take to make sure that your home is as clean, if not cleaner, than before we arrived.
We lay tarps out in front of the fireplace to ensure that your carpet remains clean and then set up a high-speed dust collector to make sure that no soot gets into your home.
We sweep the inside of your fireplace starting at the firebox floor and continue to sweep the chimney to the top of the flue.
We then clean, inspect and adjust the damper and damper assembly.
We use brushes to sweep the flue, the firebox, and smoke chamber, and vacuum with an industrial strength vacuum complete with triple-layer HEPA filter to control dust and removes airborne particles up to .3 microns.
After all this, we do a thorough visual inspection of the outside of the chimney, checking the mortar work, brickwork and crown. Any damage or needed repair we find is documented on video or with digital photos that will be sent to you.
When we are through, we email you a copy of the chimney system evaluation.
The National Fireplace Institute recommends a Level 1 sweep and inspection be done at least annually.
